Recently, Allison Transmission has presented its new medium-duty nine-speed automatic gearbox and electric hybrid unit with fully electric extended range within the framework of the automobile exhibition Auto Shanghai 2019. The release of this product proved that Allison remains committed to meeting customer requirements regarding fuel economy and reduction of CO2 emissions.



The new transmission was designed on the basis of the well-known 2000 Series gearbox, which has gained a reputation of a reliable solution for commercial vehicles (CVs). This product ensures enhanced fuel economy without harming the advanced performance parameters of Allison automatics. Engineers of the company developed this product to be applied on a wide range of vehicle types (from delivery trucks to buses). Moreover, Allison also released an electric hybrid unit, which can become an ideal solution for interurban buses and touring buses, significantly reducing CO2 emissions during operation.
