Ricardo and DS Performance decided to prolong their impactful cooperation within Formula E season 6. The new deal is based on a fruitful cooperation of many years between two parties, residing in the production and delivery of Ricardo transmission solutions for last season’s car which came out on top in the drivers’ and teams’ competitions.

The German company ZF, a major supplier of automatic transmissions and related components, has become the new partner of Mahindra Racing, participating in the Formula E Champioship. Thanks to the joint efforts, ZF experts and tech specialists of Mahindra have already set in motion the development process of under-the-hood components for the 2020/21 season.

Recently, Ricardo has announced the launch of production of newly-designed transmission solutions for the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2020. This statement manifests the start of the Ricardo’s 4-th season of providing its advanced car components to teams taking part in the most popular 100% electric street racing competitions.

In 2016, ZF and the motor racing team Venturi, established by Venturi Automobiles, entered into cooperation agreement for the FIA Formula E. For the new season, ZF has designed an electric driveline for Venturi that includes an electromotor, new-made gearbox and power electronics.
