Schaeffler, a German manufacturer of auto parts, plans to supply its hybrid transmission unit for the 2020 Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor Utility, as well as the 2020 Lincoln Aviator. As a part of Schaeffler’s electrification strategy implementation, this transmission solution contributes to hybridization of the SUVs, trucks and off-roaders, while also ensuring more power and torque.

Designed and manufactured at 2 facilities in Germany, the gearbox ensures improved driving experience while providing comfortable and low-noise operation.

The German company Schaeffler recently expanded the LuK RepSet 2CT repair kit line for dual-clutch transmissions with kits for Fiat, Renault and Smart cars, and for some VW models.
