Schaeffler, a German manufacturer of auto parts, plans to supply its hybrid transmission unit for the 2020 Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor Utility, as well as the 2020 Lincoln Aviator. As a part of Schaeffler’s electrification strategy implementation, this transmission solution contributes to hybridization of the SUVs, trucks and off-roaders, while also ensuring more power and torque.

Schaeffler has recently announced its intention to enter the segment of the electric motor production with its modular, sophisticated tech platform. The product range of e-motors from Schaeffler can find application in modules, dedicated hybrid transmissions as well as e-axle drives.

Schaeffler has launched a large-scale manufacturing of gearboxes for the electric drive in the Audi e-tron, becoming a significant event for the company’s E-Mobility branch. Designed and manufactured at 2 facilities in Germany, the gearbox ensures improved driving experience while providing comfortable and low-noise operation.

The German company Schaeffler recently expanded the LuK RepSet 2CT repair kit line for dual-clutch transmissions with kits for Fiat, Renault and Smart cars, and for some VW models.
