Aisin Sets Up a Plant in China for Manufacturing Auto Spare Parts

Recently, Aisin Seiki, one of the largest suppliers of automatic transmissions and related parts, has announced that it set up a joint venture with a local company Anhui Ring New Group Co. The main goal of this endeavor is to manufacture spare parts for automatic transmissions in eastern China.




The manufacturing facility, named as Aisin (Anqing) Auto Parts Co., will be located in Anqing province. This plant will produce aluminum gearbox components such as housings to meet growing demand for cars with automatic transmissions in China. Aisin plans to put up around $90 million in this project. It is expected that the new plant will launch production from August 2020.

The Aisin Group already has opened 3 manufacturing facilities in China, specialized in production of transmission parts, which are then supplied to different assembly plants in China. With the annual production capacity of 700 thousand units, the new production facility will certainly boost Aisin’s potential on the Chinese market. The workforce at the new plant is expected to reach 150 specialists.


At the new plant, Aisin will try to provide the most sophisticated infrastructure for design and development of top-quality transmission components, but also to create favorable working environment inside the plant. Aisin Group will double its efforts in looking for ways to improve the quality of Aisin products, extend its product portfolio, and expand the company’s presence on auto markets worldwide.
