The structure of Single Acting Pulley Actuator (SAPA) Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) uses combinations of direct current motor units, gear reducers and power cam systems to activate primary movable pulley sheaves on the gearbox shaft. The secondary pulley backed by spring gives a belt pressing force to avoid slips, while the secondary is responsible for the rubber v-belt from slipping.
