The Allison 1000 is a 6-speed double overdrive gearbox manufactured by the Allison Transmission. Originally, Allison 1000 series was designed as 5-speed gearboxes, but in 2006 company engineers added 6-th speed-increasing gear. It is a high capacity gearbox, transmitting torque equal up to 620 lb-ft. This series of gearboxes was released in 2006. The Allison 1000 is an ideal choice for heavy loaders. This gearbox can be installed on the Hummer H1, Chevrolet Silverado, the GMC Sierra, and the Chevrolet B-Series. The 32-bit microprocessor maintains a permanent connection with the engine and ensures optimal operation modes.
