This gearbox was developed by ZF. Later this
transmission solution was sold to the company Punch Power, which is specialized
in production of CVT gearboxes applied in the Rover cars, MGF Mini and MGF and
Mini and several Korean and Chines models. This CVT proved to be a reliable and
efficient gear shifting solution. In most cases, problems with this
transmission occur because of ill-timed maintenance services or usage of
improper ATF.
