TCI Releases 4X Four-Speed Auto Transmissions
TCI Auto has grown to be one of the largest and most innovative producers of automatic transmissions and transmission components. Proving its reputation, TCI unveiled the new 4x Four-Speed automatic gearbox range. This innovative family of automatic transmissions is based on well-known 4L80E or 700R4 gearboxes and can be adjusted not only for GM applications.
These transmissions are equipped with the adapter bell housing for mounting behind non-GM engines (such as Buick, Pontiac, Ford, Chrysler etc.). The electronic 4L80E-based overdrive gearbox has an adapter flex disk that makes it possible to use original GM controller or TCI EZ-TCU. Non-electronic 700R4-based gearbox is also equipped with an adapter flex disk and does not require gearbox controlling unit. This type of transmission also has a constant pressure valve body, ensuring more adjustability while specifying part throttle shifting points. A space-saving structural design allows engineers to install this automatic gearbox in most modifications without tunnel adjustments.
