Allison’s Feature Helps Reducing Fuel Consumption on International MV Series
International Truck has recently announced that
Allison Transmission’s Neutral at Stop feature will be an efficient addition to
the International MV Series, starting from the next year.
Thanks to this solution, the gearbox independently shifts to N gear when the car is not moving. This removes the load on the engine when the car is motionless, thereby decreasing the level of fuel usage as well as the amount of harmful emissions. Allison claims that Neutral at Stop can decrease the level of emissions by up to 6% in urban vehicles in contrast with 2018 base line. This useful mechanism blocks the output when the car stops moving to prevent it from unintentional motion.

integration of this solution from Allison on MV Series trucks allows using
advanced technologies, thereby reducing operation expenditures by means of
enhanced fuel efficiency while maintaining the truck’s high durability and
productivity.
