EDAG Designs Driver Assistance Systems for BMW
EDAG Engineering GmbH is one of the pioneering independent engineering service suppliers for the auto business worldwide. Therefore it is not surprising that BMW chose EDAG for cooperation in designing of driver assistant systems.
The enterprise has its offices all over the world and a proven record of designing advanced products and application of new technologies such as 3D-printing. Trends of the auto industry indicate a great potential of highly automated and full self- driving. Edag plans to launch a new development center in Germany for implementation of the project in conjunction with BMW. It is planned to open the facility in the late 2018.
BMW also has far-reaching plans for the autopilot operation method. For example, the German automaker plans to release its autonomous iNext vehicle in 2021. Therefore, practical experience of EDAG specialists in designing of advanced driver assistant systems (ADAS) will be useful for providing safety and convenient driving experience.
