Hyundai Opens Training Academy and Builds Plant in Russia
Recently, the first Hyundai Training Academy has been officially opened in Moscow, Russia. It is one of the largest Hyundai training centers in the world, equipped in accordance with the highest standards in the field of modern education.

The total area of the academy is 2,734 m2. The
training complex includes 8 training classes, 4 rooms for webinars, 2 showrooms
(equipped with lifts) for cars, as well as office and storage facilities.
The only Genesis Academy in the world has been
created on the basis of the Hyundai Training Academy in Russia. The sophisticated
technical infrastructure allows providing training either on-site or remotely.

Particular attention is focused on digital
learning – there are numerous webinars, where trainers can work with graphics
using flipcharts, electronic tablets, demonstrate the main features of
powertrain components maintenance or their diagnostics with the help of mobile
multi-focus video cameras. Moreover, there are online courses, video tutorials,
and digital simulators for diagnostic processes and car maintenance developed
and available. For future trainees all training rooms are equipped with everything
necessary for efficient training.
There is also a technical area for practical sessions. It has special stands for fully functional diagnostics of diesel equipment, tools for diagnostics and repair of automatic transmissions, air conditioning systems, as well as benches for diagnostics of hybrid powertrains. In addition to technical training, Hyundai Training Academy is equipped with 2 showrooms for Hyundai and Genesis vehicles, where employees can practice communication skills in the environment similar to the real dealership center. Hyundai Training Academy is able to enroll more than 3,500 trainees annually. The training portfolio is constantly expanded by the academy staff. Presently, the portfolio consists of 21 compulsory (and more than 30 additional) training programs.
Moreover, recently it became known that Hyundai and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia have signed an agreement on a new joint venture. The project is aimed at building the production facility in Russia for assembly of engines, control systems, and automatic transmissions for Hyundai cars. The duration of the agreement is 10 years. It is planned that the production facility will be built in St.Petersburg.
