A Car Fueled by Coca-Cola
Cars are great subjects for science experiments, but sometimes these undertakings may lead to unpredictable consequences. For example, YouTube channel TechRax published a video that shows the consequences of adding Coca-Cola to motor fuel.
The amateur from the USA poured a bottle of fizzy drink in the tank of BMW 325i produced in 2003. After that, he tried to drive the car, but the warning “service engine soon” appeared on the dashboard and in few seconds the engine died. After that, it was impossible to start it again.
At the end of the video, the blogger displays a bill for the diagnostics, which cost 135 dollars. The repair center specialist recommended draining the tank, replacing the fuel pump and the filter. Repair of the fuel system alone will cost 1500$. In case of engine malfunction, the sum will be much higher.
