Now Even Babies Can have a Mercedes
The design department of Mercedes-Benz, in collaboration with Hartan company, produced the baby stroller named Avantgarde for admirers of the German brand. The product will hit the market in November 2018.
The company Hartan has been manufacturing baby strollers for over 60 years – the first model was released in the 1950s. The aluminum frame of the stroller weighs 8.9 kilograms, while the baby seat weighs 4.1 kg. The stroller is equipped with an adjustable suspension, Solight Ecco tires with an air chamber, telescopic handle, parking brake, and storage compartment. The seat with adjustable footrest and reflectors can be rotated 180 degrees. Soft top part of the stroller with a noiseless mechanism creates a special climate zone and protects the baby from the sun. The Avantgarde baby stroller was approved by the German Technical Inspection Association.
But the most
peculiar part of this product is the design of wheels developed by the AMG
department. Stroller wheels have five-twin-spoke design resembling the wheels
for Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars. Thanks to car-derived wheels fitted with
air-chamber tires, the stroller can easily run on several types of surfaces.
It is also
possible to install a baby carrier on the stroller chassis. Additional features
include the following: umbrella, two bags, headrest, windscreen, organizer for
small items, and a rain cover.
It is worth mentioning that last November Mercedes-Benz presented a limited series of bicycles dedicated to the Mercedes-AMG GT R supercar and the 50-th anniversary of the AMG department of Mercedes.
